Cats in the City boarding reservations are designed around staffing, housing availability, and individualized care planning. Because rooms are reserved exclusively for your cat, boarding charges and deposits apply once a reservation has been accepted.
Please review the following policies carefully before booking.
Boarding is charged on a daily basis according to the room selected for your cat.
Boarding fees begin on the scheduled arrival date and continue through the scheduled departure date.
Early returns do not qualify for credits, refunds, or reductions in boarding fees. When a reservation is made, the room, staffing, and housing capacity are reserved specifically for your cat for the entire scheduled stay.
All boarding reservations are subject to a minimum boarding fee equal to three days at the reserved room rate, regardless of the actual length of stay.
Reservations that include any listed peak or holiday date are subject to a minimum boarding fee equal to five days at the reserved room rate, regardless of the actual length of stay.
This policy helps us manage limited availability during periods of exceptionally high demand.
A non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of estimated boarding fees will be charged to the card on file once the reservation has been reviewed and accepted.
Reservations that include any listed peak or holiday date require a non-refundable deposit equal to 75% of estimated boarding fees.
Because holiday reservations often book months in advance and rooms cannot easily be rebooked at the last minute, these deposits are non-refundable.
A non-refundable deposit is charged to the card on file.
The remaining estimated boarding balance is collected at check-in.
Any additional services, upgrades, medication administration fees, transportation services, grooming services, retail purchases, veterinary transportation, or other incidental charges are billed at check-out.
Reservations that are accepted and confirmed but do not arrive as scheduled are considered no-shows.
No-shows remain financially responsible for the full scheduled reservation.
Because boarding space is reserved specifically for each cat, no-show reservations prevent that room from being offered to another family.
Peak and holiday reservations increase standard boarding rates by 10% per cat.
This increase applies throughout the reservation whenever the stay includes a listed peak or holiday period.
The following peak windows include seven days before and seven days after each listed holiday.

Cats in the City operates as a feline-exclusive boarding program with limited housing capacity, individualized care plans, and high staffing ratios.
When a room is reserved, that space is removed from availability for other cats and families.
Our deposit and reservation policies help ensure we can responsibly staff, prepare, and maintain housing availability while continuing to provide the level of care our clients expect.
If you have questions about boarding fees, deposits, holiday dates, or reservation requirements, please contact our team before booking. We are happy to help.
Understanding deposits, minimum stays, holiday policies, and reservation requirements can help you plan your cat's boarding stay with confidence. These resources explain how boarding reservations work and what to expect before arrival.
